Along with advancement in industry, demands for high performance polymer materials with heat resistance, chemical resistance, and the like are increasing in many fields.

In particular, as automobiles and electric and electronic parts tend to be compact, light in weight, and high efficient, materials with heat resistance, chemical resistance, and high rigidity are demanded. In addition, as environmental issues have forced thermosetting resins to be replaced with recyclable thermoplastic resins, PPS resins with these properties will be demanded increasingly.

In electric and electronic industries, as products tend to be compact and slim and require higher heat resistance temperatures, demands for PPS resins with high performance properties such as electrical stability and dimensional stability will continue to grow.


PPS resins melts at 280℃ and has excellent chemical resistance. It retains flame resistance in itself and can be flame resistant without flame retardants, so it can be called friendly to environment flame resistance resins. Generally, it is used with 40 percent to 65 percent of glass fiber or inorganic materials being added, and it has outstanding properties as the following:
